BioGabriel (Bri) Mattis was born in the Scottish highlands at the turn of the 17th century and died at the battle of Culloden under the name of Gabriel Matheson. He took the name Mattis in honour of the person who killed him.
Gabriel Mattis has been a lover and a fighter, and considered a nobelman however since April 16 1746 Bri has been a vampire. With his dark green eyes that change colour with his mood, and the physique of a swimmer helping him get everything he wants, Bri walks the lands looking for his lost master under the hopes that the lore is true and killing his sire will turn him back to a mortal.
He has found most vampire stories to be hit and miss over the years, but for his own sake he has been writing down what he knows to be true:
++Vampires drink blood. Though they can eat human food and enjoy it, they need to feed regularly or their body begins to decay. Newborn vampires need to feed every day for a month to make sure they don't turn itno gouls with an unsatiable appetite for the death of humans.
That being said, after the first week of human blood, vampires can survive on another vampire's blood and food just as readily as human's. though, human blood is needed in special circumstances still.
++Vampires can go in sunlight. Their skin is cold, and therefore absorbs it more readily. But they do not sparkle, and they will into explode into ash. If they're out too long in hot sun, they can become sick and the bloodlust will take them over - Vampires have an instinct for survival.
++Vampires have a reflection. In mirros and windows and any shiny surface. They have souls, but being as unnatural as they are, they can't have their image caught by camera's. It makes it really hard for them to get a licence.
++Vampires need to find what completes their soul within a year of being turned or they will end up dust. For many vampires, this is a soul mate, or something in their life they couldn't have gotten alive.
++Becoming a vampire is a work of fate, not a conscious choice. Though there needs to be a strong will and a want to live, not everyone can become a vampire..There needs to be blood shared, and a death involved; but depending on the spirit, fate and the person being turned can be given a second change at an unlife.
++Vampires have super senses. Hearing, taste, smell, sight and touch. They are faster and stronger - true hunters of the human species - though there are some drawbacks. Silver can limit a vampire's power. If there is too much in the blood it can make one sick. Vampires are sensual creatures at heart - as such most choose to use their allure and bring others to them to feed.
